I know tight clothing that sounds weird. The thing is, this wasn't written for us- it was written for the general public, and I think many of the GP will just tune out something that screams "Fat Pride" at them, assuming it's the ravings of someone so unlike them there's nothing tight clothing to be gained/learned by reading it. This was a *very* realistic view of the life of an average fat tight clothing person-- neither fat loving nor self loathing, just living and observing and doing their best to feel okay about themselves in a world that tells them they shouldn't. I'm hoping reading this might give the general non-fat public a clue that fat folks aren't all lazy, garbage-eating, (insert your favorite negative stereotype here), because it doesn't put them on the defensive, while still telling it like it is. Props to the autor for writing it and to the Hartford Advocate for publishing it!
