It not only attempts to summarize what fat and size acceptance are, but it also tries to justify why fat and size acceptance should exist. funny picture of fat people Impressively, it does a good job of reaching those goals. Part of the article focuses on Susie Orbach, famed psychotherapist - and author of a little ditty of landmark proportions, Fat is a Feminist Issue. She's launching a new organization called AnyBody: ...AnyBody wants 'ethically' manufactured clothes that are 'not displayed on mannequins who are only one size' to be marked with a logo, and is also working on subversive advertisements designed to 'broaden the aesthetic', subtly promoting the idea that you don't have to be thin to be gorgeous. |
