I think it is a stupid move on their part as every time I did travel with them, most of the people on board were larger people. BTW, Southwest has a commercial with people "opening" their seats like Christmas presents, suggesting that they are more spacious, but from what I've gathered, web chat they've made more leg room, but not more butt room. To add web chat insult to injury, they have a couple of plus-sized people in the commercial. I think this web chat might be their lame way of making some overtures since they are being sued by several people. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. If fat people can successfully challenge the Southwest assault, I believe the other airlines will accommodate us. Thanks for the feedback. Posted by cshock on December 6, 2004 02:10 PM. Great article, Pattie! I especially like the analogy drawn with the bus boycotts. I have come to believe that simply going outside my house everyday is fat action, especially in this culture that would just love to see us all hidden!
