All people in a democratic society should enjoy the freedom to move from bob brinker place to place. Review the history of oppressed peoples and you also will find a history of ways in which bob brinker their travel was restricted. The ability to use transportation, sit in public places, stay overnight at certain hotels, and walk down a street without harassment never can be taken for granted by those of us who are stigmatized. But political agendas alone will not be enough to solve this problem. Fighting for anti-discrimination laws that limit discrimination against fat people is a good bob brinker place to start; but we cannot stop there. Having the right to enter a public space is not the same as being welcomed into that space. If we are to achieve fat acceptance, a cultural change must take place. I recommend that we begin working for cultural change by changing the travel and tourism industry.
