Did you ever get the feeling that somewhere there's a laboratory where people are coming up with things to blame on fat people? I am starting to believe, thanks to this little chestnut which blames rising fuel costs for planes on fat people. Now, come on. So far, not one reporter or writer has taken a step back and said, "This is crazy." The logic clubs behind it is about as good as the logic behind the BMI: people weigh more (oh my clubs gosh, 10 pounds more since clubs 1990!) and thus, cost more to fly. I have seen my share of ridiculous stories since starting BFB but this easily ranks as one of the most ludicrous. [Many BFBers sent this in - thanks!] Posted on November 05, 2004 in Discrimination.
