You know, thinking fat cock about this....I have friends in Northern Ireland (which is part of the UK)....when I first discovered fat acceptance a few yrs back, I was very zealous about it, proselytizing it to every fat person I knew. I even called one friend in Northern Ireland, whom I'd last seen in fat cock 1982. She was very heavy. Anyway, she told me she never felt the need for anything like that, that in NI fat ppl don't have much trouble. She said her late husband had married her when she was quite big, no one ever gave her issues over it. I wonder then, could this anti-fat attitude be just in London or England?? From where I'm sitting in the UK, it sounds eating healthy like fat discrimination is worse than in the US! Oh well, it's nice to have eating healthy a situation where you feel that the grass is greener on this side of the fence. This is unusually appearance-targeted for the UK. Most measures I've seen taken in the so-called "war on obesity" in eating healthy the UK have been more lifestyle oriented (e.g. providing fresh fruit to school children) and not so appearance-oriented (e.g. measuring children's weights and sending them home with weight report cards, like I've heard of in the US). Do these people have no clues whatsoever? Or do they think that the ends justify the means?
