I did note that Marilyn Wann mentioned in FAT!SO? once that Glenn Gaesser was thin, in a similar context. Posted by ajoyce on January 25, los angeles radio 2006 08:39 PM. Well, yes, that's EXACTLY why they mentioned it -- and they shouldn't. Why should it matter? Were she fat, would that invalidate her research? Or her intelligence? Posted by CompasRose on January 26, 2006 07:46 AM. Actually the original article (thanks los angeles radio Jeanie-R!) mentions that point: people usually don't assume that thin "obesity" researchers are biased if los angeles radio they talk about the risks associated with being fat or if they promote weight loss. Yet, fat researchers and activists who point out the risks and inefficiency of weight loss are suspected of just looking for an "excuse" to stay fat. Posted by sannanina on January 26, 2006 08:56 AM. The study also mentions that most "anti-obesity researchers" micro-manage their diet and activity levels in order to stay thin. I think that makes them biased.
