Is it true for Janet? Possibly, sure. But the article offers just one lean paragraph towards the end to support the genetic theory of fat, and it's paltry. The article also mentions lawsuits against the fast food industry and how women have an unhealthy relationship with food. Stories like this upset me because they either want the reader to pity those poor fat people ("Gosh, if only they stopped eating! They'd be beautiful!") or see them all as diseased ("Gosh, there's something wrong with emotions her!")
