| This one is tough to get through. Parsi's arguments are all over the place. He suggests, for fats domino instance, that there's not enough emphasis on body image and eating disorders in America. Perhaps fats domino this is true for men, but please - not for women. He also claims being fat is a conscious choice, like "being drunk" (!) He then suggests that he could never have sex with a fat woman ("there was just too much fleshy overhang to get the job done with your average tool"), before just coming out and saying that fat people should be taxed fats domino based on BMI. sigh. This depressed me. He hoists an anti-fat banner proudly, for the silliest reasons. He doesn't like the way fat looks, can't imagine being fat, and can't imagine actually seeing a fat person procreate (God forbid!) He also loves to throw around terms like "fatso", "tons-o-fun", and "double-barreled buttocks". He also has his editor's email address at the bottom of the article. |
