At least she didn't go the surgical route, but I just saw her (not ten minutes ago) saying that she goes to fat people the gym and/or runs four times every day but she still eats "crazy" including regular snacking on M&Ms. Clearly she's had to become hyperactive in order to maintain those 70 pounds gone, I wonder what's going to happen if she has to cut down her activity level, since she obviously hasn't really changed her eating patterns too much. Sad story. In re: Queen Latifah, in an interview with a music industry (not mainstream) magazine, she said that her recent weight loss (20 pounds by her report) was a side effect of the weightlifting regimen she got into to strengthen her back after her breast reduction. |

| And for the record I loved my body when it was much bigger. I didnt have any negative body issues, and joining the fat acceptance vmmt had a lot to dow ith thar. But now, post-weight loss, I've got lots of wrinkly, flabby loose skin where the fat used to be, and I find, ironically, I NOW dislike at celebrities least parts of my body. A lot of the folks we've been talking about celebrities here were featured. A couple of stories really leapt out at me as truly sad. John Popper, for one, seems to have been pressured into GBS after his heart surgery. He was quite young to have the heart problems that he did, but given his money and his realization that he did not have healthy habits (he seemed to admit, long before he had WLS, that he binged regularly) I don't see why he didn't (and he admits that he didn't) pursue natural changes with the help of nutrition counseling, a trainer, a therapist or whoever might have helped him to get fit without mutilation. |
