| There have always been fat people, the original statue of the Venus of Willendorf is at least 27,000 years old, & the women of that time were not stopping off biography/autobiography for many Big Macs or boxes of Godiva chocolates. My ancestors were very biography/autobiography poor, & often had little to eat, & nothing rich or extravagant; they also did not have a lot of labor-saving devices, & did a lot of hard physical work. They were fat, & a good many of them lived well into their 80's & 90's as biography/autobiography well. I do not believe that there is any "epidemic" of "obesity." There are about 6 billion people in the world now, & around 300 million in the US, so more of us will be fat. The population of the US is aging, as more & more of us "baby boomers" reach middle age & beyond, & some weight gain with aging is normal for most people. |
