| PRSA begins plotting in March, encouraging obese people to organize groups to march in St. Patrick’s Day parades across the country. National news coverage ensues. A cable network produces a fat joke reality show, “Beer Gut for the Skinny fat joke Guy,” which chronicles a week in the life of a buff celebrity as he dons fat joke a 250-pound fat suit and lumbers around Hollywood. Overweight fashion lovers join to march through New York City’s fashion district from 7th Avenue to Bryant Park on 42nd Street to protest the start of Fashion Week. Marchers flood backstage dressing rooms and don’t leave until each designer signs a contract to make clothing larger than size eight. Another group sets out to find Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Helen Gurley Brown’s home to stage a sit-in. |
