interviews, fat booty, fat pat, fat list, events, fat, in depth, fat woman sex, fun, low fat food, prevails, ketogenic diet, radio stations, nutrition, lose belly fat, fat joke, fat tuesday, journalism, They ain't worried about our health, they couldn't give a damn, they just don't want to lose money! Posted by Emily Hamer on June 18, 2003 09:36 AM. I'm with fat bastard Charlotte. The weight loss industry alone is a significant contributer to the GNP. And if fat people did eat more (they don't, but if), they'd fat bastard be eating more food, right? And that'd be good for the economy. And let's see...we fat bastard need more material to clothe ourselves = good for the economy. Dieting large people need three or four sizes of clothing = good for the economy. And if we used more medical goods (probably unnecessarily, as so much medical care), we're good for the economy. So, I say let's get a new slogan, "Fat people. The heroes of the GNP." What we really need, though, is a radical rethinking of economy, counting all the real costs and the real benefits. Much of the work women do is not counted in the GNP (child care, cooking, volunteer work). A polluting profitable industry is counted as a positive, but couldn't we re-think the issues of costs when we assess its value?

Doesn't low fat food matter to them that all this money is flowing if its flowing out of corporate pockets especially into non-profit ones. Just look at the way legislatures around the US have left arts groups out to dry despite overwhelming evidence of their economic low fat food benefit. Rather the money go to a fund a football stadium owned by a billionare and named after an international corporation which is used 8 days a year then to a Symphony Orchestra with a 32 week season bringing in thousands low fat food of people to a downtown district practically every day. Corporations are reveered, so if they are the ones paying higher health care costs (and even if they are, wasn't that a problem ANYWAY? Hardly fat specific) that's all that matters.
