Quite autobiography/memoir/letters/journals a few. But I don't eat fast food and I don't drive, or go to the mall for that matter. I do walk. And I am fat. I am soft and round but I autobiography/memoir/letters/journals am not going to buy into autobiography/memoir/letters/journals the idea that I am endangered. I wish the critique of the culture of convenience and toxic mimics of play wasn't made with the simplification of why bodies are fat, but I agree with the critique. Posted by Tish on July 6, 2003 09:59 AM. Whatever problems convenience poses in our society, I don't think its serving any good that anti-fat forces constantly trot it out to condemn fat people. Even if they are casting a wide net and making generalizations, the implications of this thinking remains a moral judgement against people for being fat. Thin people drive. To be perfectly honest, I don't recall ever walking into a fast food location and not seeing the majority of customers being thin. Used like this, its just scapegoating and it serves no useful purpose. |
