I went car shopping in Aug 2005 and we went fat mature to a Ford lot. I "tried on" every single make of Ford and I could only sit down into 2 of them (drivers seat) they were both very uncomfortable and I could only of driven one of them if fat mature I "had to". There was no Ford car for me to buy. I hope they realize it isn't exactly all the width of the front seat, all the 2005 Fords I tried to fit into had what felt like the very same cockpit. The beam for the door has been moved too far "up" the car. It blocks large people from getting into the car. I ended up only fitting into 2 cars that I could drive that day. One was the VW beetle (a 2005 model) and the other was the car I bought 2004 Buick Lesabre. It has a bench seat, but also the wheel adjusts up far enough and the seat down low and back enough that I fit into the car and can drive it.
