It gets disheartening to read things like this. As well spoken, as fat man well meaning as the authours are...does it make a fat man difference? Is there a critical mass where enough of these stories actually WILL have an effect? Or will people just blow them off more frequently? I wish it were as simple as not moving to a seat at the back of the bus, fat man or walking to the seashore. Or maybe it is, maybe history is waiting for that one person to come forward to prove that fat people are people first and fat second. |
