That's a wonderful idea not just for the safety of larger people, but also for people who are usually tall, short, etc. For years, manufacturers built everything for an "ideal" person: a six foot tall man of average build. Cars have been dangerous for short women for decades. |

First Lane Bryant was encouraging people to be fat, now making comfortable carseats is a hardship mr. kabc fatties are forcing on Ford. Right. I suppose those DVD players they put in cars are forced on Frod by America's love of TV and not their own desire to sell cars. I find it particularly interesting that this article is poking fun at large "American bums." The reason many european cars don't have to make this adjustment isn't because we Americans have more "junk in the trunk"; it's because european carmakers already make more confortable seats (and have for years). |
