The entry includes a tip from Kell theater Brigan referencing articles from Paul Campos and Vincent Carroll, calling for Gerberding's resignation. Here's what Carroll had to say and what Campos said. Carroll flat out asks why Congress hasn't called for her resignation. Why aren't there calls in Congress for her to quit? Gerberding didn't merely overhype a crisis, after all. She helped invent one. A net annual total of 26,000 premature deaths apparently occur among people the government classifies as overweight. She overshot by 375,000. Indeed. The call to action Kell suggests is finding your Congressperson and writing him or her. Everyone's got email, and that's the simplest way to do it - but don't neglect "real" letters and phone calls.
