Gee, Missy, there have been some studies which have shown that, if anything, fat girls are often sexier, which I guess, in that vernacular, means "more fly." | It's when they say, "Well, I was worthless fat, and therefore everyone else who is fat is also worthless," that's bothersome. Even then...eh. Who cares what surgery Missy Elliott, or Carnie Wilson, of surgery all people, have to say? Maybe Oprah, since she has influence (for some reason beyond me), but other than that...not really worth getting all het up about. Posted by Imagynne on April 7, 2004 02:32 PM. I suppose it just pisses me off in a general sort of way, because there are so few famous, fat people to surgery look up to these days. And the homogenity of famous body types is depressing. I cringed, specifically, when I heard an interview with Missy Elliot talking about her weight loss and her health, etc. I was disappointed because I figured someone who seems to be that intelligent and obviously willing to be 'different' didn't bother to look into the other side of the fat/health debate. |
