While the romance between Myers and Nancy Travis doesn't really work, there are about ten fall-on-the-floor funny scenes in this movie -- mostly sex education involving Myers playing his own character's father, a hard-partying Scotsman who's around 55 years old and worships the Bay City Rollers. Also brilliant: Alan Arkin as a touchy-feely police captain. And the late Phil Hartman as an Alcatraz tour guide. And Steven Wright as the pilot of a small plane. And...see it.
