--Ines, MotorWITI would like to make older black woman it clear from the start that I have two older black woman small children of my own so I am obviously subjective on this topic but older black woman I would also like to share an experience I had that might give you something to think of when it comes to having or not having children. My first pregnancy ended with the still birth of my 41 week old son. To help me with the grief I attended a group session for women with infertility and/or losses. One woman in the group explained that she had decided a long time ago after finding out that she was infertile and trying treatments that adoption was not for her. She simply gave up on having children and worked through the loss of never being a mother. Now almost 20 years later she was back in the group crying that she had to get over the loss of never being a grandmother as well. Something she had not considered when she decided against adopting. Just some food for thought: Consider everything that you will be giving up by not having children.
